hi! i just wanted to suggest or request to the site administrator of portableapps.com: Can you put some label: something like "new", "updated",or "latest version" with regards to the list of applications in this page http://portableapps.com/apps ?
I know that the front page already shows updates! but the former page (http://portableapps.com/apps) has the complete list of applications (i presume) and it would help at a glance (if one happens to miss the news) which application is new entry or updated version (and if i am not mistaken, the applications listed on the said page, are linked in their "stable version" - which i prefer to use, not beta or alpha - i just leave them to the geeks:-)

If we're lucky, John will post the updater by Sunday (we probably won't be though).
Personally, I don't think it helps because you don't know how long you should put it there. Either some guy checks there every 5 minutes, or another guy checks every two months. How long should the label stay? I don't know.
Oh, and the entirety of the news can be found here: http://portableapps.com/news . You might want to subscribe to it using something like Thunderbird or Google Reader.
