Yeah, it's already portable. That just makes it easier to make it official.

Speccy in .paf format

A good reason why portable apps are made available in the .paf format is simply that its easier to keep track of updates and easier to perform the update process.

Are you saying you don't agree? So you'd rather d/l the zip, unpack, then copy and paste for all your non.paf apps? Well I have around 250 portable apps, 70 of which are .paf, and I can tell you keeping track of updates and the process of updating is a pain in the ass to say the least. So anything that makes it easier is a bonus, wouldn't you agree?

Live for an ideal and leave no place in the mind for anything else.

The main reason there is the .paf format is not only to make applications portable but also work with the PortableApps.com Backup utility to backup your data in case of hardware failure, for me I choose the paf format.
