A stupid question..running locallySubmitted by Wilson on June 19, 2006 - 5:21am
I hate to make such a fool of myself, but I have to ask this question; Can I run Portable Thunderbird on my main machine - ie; not off a USB, but off the PC? In fact, can I run Abi the same way? Please do not flame me to death, I just have to ask these things sometimes. ( categories: )

Yes
It does not matter where you put the folder for thunderbird or any of the other apps here, they will all run fine.

Yep.
That's the beauty of portable applications. They're portable. You can put them anywhere and they still work. In fact, if they weren't designed so you could put them anywhere, then they'd probably stop working when the drive letter of the drive they were on ever changed. They don't, though. They'll keep on chuggin' along.
