Uhh, what? You want to run

Uhh, what? You want to run the portable launcher from the command line like in a cmd.exe window?

(CLI)

A command-line interface (CLI) is a mechanism for interacting with a computer operating system or software by typing commands to perform specific tasks.

I'm familiar with cli Linux

I'm familiar with cli Linux uses the same system to boot all the important hardware/software needed to operate on the system however PA.c.exe is not an operating system therefore a cli would be rather pointless

Your Guess is as Good as Mine

It sounds like the user wants to install portable apps via the command line perhaps to do unattended installations. The question is how will they integrate with the PA.C platform if this is done? I believe if you install them to the "correct" location that the PA.C platform will just "know" they are there, correct?

Another guess is that the user wants to run portable apps from the platform using CLI parameters.

I'm completely guessing and could be way off the mark at what the user is trying to do.

Page

On the PA.c Installer page: "Works from command line and Send To (just pass the portable app's main directory, e.g. X:\PortableApps\FileZillaPortable)" So if you pass it X:\PathTo\MyApp\MyAppPortable, it'll create X:\PathTo\MyApp\MyAppPortable_1.2.3.paf.exe.

SendTo?

I realize this is a bit off-topic, but how do you make the PA.c Installer work with SendTo?

Create One

You just create one using the instructions anywhere online for your version of Windows (it depends on the version) and point it at PortableApps.comInstaller.exe.

Great, thanks! Somewhat

Great, thanks!
Somewhat simpler than running the installer and pointing it to the correct folder, and definitely faster... Smile
