Evernote - Freeware Evernote is a useful bit of software that allows a person to take notes, have them synchronized to other platforms (including phones). It also has the ability to recognize and search index text in images. There is a couple of other old suggestion threads out there, but now that freeware is on the site, I think that this would make a valuable addition to the collection. It would be nice to have the stable and beta versions available for PA.c I remember there being some talk about a downloadable portable version before, but I feel more comfortable if it was on PA.c because then it is likely to updates. If Evernote can't be made into a full app, then maybe there can be an installer/launcher a la Google Chrome Portable. Thanks, ( categories: )

I have made one.
I have made a Evernote Portable in PortableApps.com Format.
This is based on Evernote 4.4.0.4605.
To reduce the size.I deleted most of the languages files (except English and Chinese). You can copy your language File into the Evernote directory manualy.
It's compressed with PortableApps.com AppCompactor.
Also you can upgrade the program by your self, just copy it to the right place.

Evernote is freeware, and
Evernote is freeware, and cannot be legally put into paf.exe format without developer permission.
If you have developer permission, please create a new thread in the Beta Testing sub-forum, following the guidelines set out for that sub-forum and quote anything you have to show that you have the developer's permission.
If you don't have developer permission, please remove your links, or a moderator will remove them for you.
please remove your links
How is he supposed to do that, now that you replied to him?
Did you set the working directory?
So please remove the link.I

Permission
You need permission from a publisher to repackage freeware.

You were speaking with them?
Weren't you speaking with them at one point?
How did that go?

Never Heard
I didn't hear back from them again. Which is the same thing that happened the last time we were speaking with them. At the higher levels, I don't think there's much interest in a portable version, which is odd, as we have a larger userbase than U3 ever did. I'll ping them yet again, but if we don't hear back, I think we should just move on and recommend alternatives.

nevernote
this gives you full access to your evenote account

I use it on Linux
It', design is less elegant than evernote and some minor functions are missing.
But it does what it needs to do!
Nevernote as ENML editor
it's even better than Evernote - allows to edit ENML file sources

Finally, I'd like to point out that this release adds the ability to view and edit the source HTML of a note. This can be useful if you have problems saving a note or to tweak the formatting. The thing to remember is that it will still try to cleanup any invalid HTML so it can be synchronized with Evernote, so formatting may still be modified after saving. It also won't prevent you from doing anything foolish like editing encrypted text or changing resource GUIDs so be careful.
Thanks,
Randy
