Error In Installer?

heyas,
I've just tried installing portable Gimp (two times, both didnt work) on my flash drive. It's a 512mb Kingston Datatraveler if thats any help.
I can download the *.exe file from sourceforge, no troubles. I goto install it, by double clicking on the *.exe file, the installer gets to 23% and then hangs, all it does is the creation of the directories -- nothing else.
Is anyone else having this problem? or does someone know what could be going wrong?

Try it locally
Try extracting it locally and then copying it over. Or try the ZIP download if the EXE isn't working on your system.
