Portable App platform plugins?

Hey guys!

I am a little new around the forums, but I have been a long time user of portable apps platform. I really like it, it keeps a lot of the yummy stuff I need on a daily basis at my finger tips.

However having used it so much there are a few things I would like to make for plugins if possible.

1.) The ability to sort your portable apps launch icons, in the main launcher. I really would like to be able to "group stuff" there so that a lot of times I would not have to scroll clear to the bottom of the list for stuff, even being able to drag these around would be better (favorite works well but just is not powerful enough)

2.) I think it needs to dock differently then it does now, what I have in mind is similar to the on screen keyboards and stuff that you see on tablet pcs, but basically generally they have a bar on the side of the screen that you click and it slides the keyboard out. That would be perfect for portable apps, even more so sense a lot of what I use portable apps for I do not have a task bar. (My company does embedded systems with windows, and we dont use explorer as our shell), so a side of screen docking system would really make this shine, it would be right there when needed and then out of the way.

So if the platform could be extended through the use of an SDK could someone please point me to the documentation?

Coming

Categories (aka folders) are debuting in 2.0 in an upcoming beta. The built in categories (as you see in the app directory here) as well as user-created ones are supported.

The ability to do plugins is coming in the near future. It won't be fully extensible, but an option to do what you'd like is in the works.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks bud! Erm, please

Thanks bud!

Erm, please excuse the lack of knowledge here, but are you the creator of this fine tool?

I doubt, that you guys are currently accepting team members, but I would love to help! I really think some kind of plugins would make this thing freaking awesome! Biggrin
