How to do an INDENT (not a TAB) inside AbiWord?Submitted by chitown on July 8, 2006 - 7:46am
How do you do an INDENT inside AbiWord? By INDENT, I do not mean TAB, which is different. Permit me to labor the point about INDENT versus TAB because I have tried to get an answer off the AbiWord Internet site and forum, but without result. To wit, the INDENT: (indent)(indent)(indent)THIS IS AN INDENT, BECAUSE AS YOU TYPE THE TEXT AND To wit, the TAB: (tab)(tab)(tab)ON THE OTHER HAND, WHEN YOU DO THE SAME THING USING So, how do you do an Indent inside AbiWord? You can use the controls on the top ruler to set indents: http://www.abisource.com/help/en-US/interface/rulers.html
Thank you, sum1
Thank you, sum1, that solves the INDENT problem, as well as other unstated problems besides. I guess I've spent too much time using WordPerfect 5.1+ (and 4.2, 5.0, 5.1) for DOS to look carefully at items that might (and do) provide the same facility.
How strange it is that I had to go to the Portable AbiWord forum to get the answer, after getting nothing from the equivalent AbiWord forum.
Thanks again.

There isn't an official
There isn't an official AbiWord forum, so I'm not sure which site you mean
. Did you send mail to one of the AbiWord mailing lists or join the #abiword channel on GIMPNet?
