Hi i have been using the 1.14 Version for some time now. And i am wondering now 2.10 is available on http://keepass.info/download.html How do i open it up so i can install it on my memory stick. Or will Portable apps be issuing this new version. Much help needed, as i am not a programmer like most of you are on this site......So no insults please. ( categories: )

2.0 is .NET based and, thus, not portable.

2.0 and 1.0 are separate branches, both actively maintained. 1.0 is more broadly compatible (the KDB format works with builds for other platforms like Palm, WinMo, Android, etc, whereas the KDBX format of 2.0 isn't supported by anything else) and works on machines without .NET (which is a majority of the machines you will encounter in public.
They should have stuck with the original plan of naming 2.0 KeePass Professional to indicate that it is a separate product.
