My flash is corrupted!

well I usually don't def-rage. my USB stick, today I found a message when I inserted it that I have to format it.I didn't format it as this will erase my data. I found a software to retrieve the data on it but it was a demo, here it's link "http://www.data-recovery-usb-drive.com/usb-drive/pen-drive-data-recovery..." it called (pen drive recovery). My drive is FAT32 4KB and 2GB size is there any alternative free software?

Suggestions

You could try Restoration. It should work with FAT/FAT32 devices. (it should be portable too since there are no settings to write)

Also, GlaryUtilitiesPortable features a data recovery module.

It's a scam.

There are probably hundreds of sites that try to sell something to people in desperate situations. Don't buy it!

A few months ago, I accidentally deleted an important file from my flash drive, so I immediately used Recuva. It told me that the file had been overwritten and was unrecoverable. I did not believe that, and wanted to look for myself, but that was not supported by that program.

I did some research. I found a couple of forums used by law enforcement and investigation professionals. It was there that I learned about Forensic Toolkit (FTK). It's expensive, but they provide the FTK Imager as freeware! They even make FTK Imager Lite, which is portable (no installation).

FTK Imager will copy (image) your flash drive, including everything in free space and slack space. You can then use it to go through every file fragment and manually view its contents. That's what I did, and I found the file I was looking for that Recuva said was unRecuvable. You can also look through the image with a hex editor, but the FTK Imager interface is nice.

The following webpage has the version, date, MD5 hash, and links to the file, release notes and user guide. You can choose the installable or lite version. I don't know if the other downloads are freeware (probably not, but maybe someone would like to look into it. Smile ).

I cann't get it.

I managed to solve my problem already. So I think I don't need any software, I just like to know alternative solutions and share it. About formatting, the data are not completely delete if u used windows format tools, as I try it my self and some of the data are still there. to erase all the I recommended to use HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. u can download it from "http://en.kioskea.net/download/download-127-hp-usb-disk-storage-format-tool" and it is portable but need admin. account.
