Hi
What do you think of a portable version of Qbittorrent??

( categories: )

uh, maybe a web link would be in order?

You can help the community\developers by placing a link to the site in your comment so we don't have to go digging around for it.

You can find it here.

I'm tired of people living in their fantasy world when the clock is ticking away, and when they are unable to see reality for what it is.

What's the benefits compared with μTorrent?

You should be clearly emphasized a merit.

Portable is Justice.

Agreed.

What does qbittorrent have over μTorrent? μTorrent is just fine for me, so convince the PA community what that this program should be made portable.

Few Things

Well, it is open source, which we like to see. That also means we can repackage it directly. It's also a uTorrent-ish UI-wise, so it's familiar. AppCompacted it's about 13MB, which is acceptable, too. As long as it's a solid app, I think it warrants portablization.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Picked up?

Has anyone picked this up yet? If not, I might give it a stab.

Go For It

Go for it. It shouldn't be too hard with the PA.c launcher.

Working on it

I'm working on this, but I've hit a snag. There appears to be a bug in how qBittorrent is writing to the registry (it is writing values where it should write keys). I've submitted a bug report, and I'll see if I can work around it.
