U3 Thunderbird + Enigma + GPG?

Glad to see your version of TB U3 released now. I was hoping it would include the enigma and gpg options as your portable TB does. Can these be added to the u3 version easily, or if not, will you be doing a u3 version with those options?

Nope and nope

It can't be added to the U3 version. And there are no plans at present to release a U3 version with advanced features like GPG and Enigmail support.

Thunderbird U3 - Enigma - GnuPG

Hi !

I use the U3-version of thunderbird and I need the PGP for my mails.

After installing thunderbird, the enigma-extension (U3-stick) und GnuPG (local) I created the directory "gpg" under "system/apps.../exec/thunderbird/ on the U3-stick.

After that I copied the files from the local gnupgp-directory to the gpg-directory (on the stick). In the directory "gpg" I created a subdirectory "rings" for the key
s. I copied my keys to this "rings"-directory.

In (thunderbird) enigma - openpgp - preferences use : "gpg\gpg.exe" as path and "--homedir Q:\SYSTEM\APPS\FEFECB~1\EXEC\THUNDE~1\gpg\rings" as the parameter.

Sorry, but it's a absolute path and with a new drive-letter you have to change it.

I tried to use relative paths (with the %U3_DEVICE_EXEC_PATH%), but ...

Have anybody a idea ? Is there a way to use the thunderbird.ini like in the non-U3 portable thunderbird (with include, or so) ?

Nope and Nope

As already stated, it will not work and there are no plans to enhance TB for U3 with the newer features being added to Thunderbird Portable.
