Neko 4.0g

So the Winpenguins thread, which was about the end of nacent-project, had me look for it.
If anyone can paf this, it'd be great!

Program: Neko 4.0g

License: Freeware

Description: Add a small cat to your desktop

Neko is a little white cat that will chase the mouse cursor and will run around your computer desktop.

You can customise how Neko appears in many ways, and can even make him run on top of all other windows.

Here are some key features of "Neko":

· Make Neko run always on top
· Create more than one Neko
· Use any icon library (.icl) to change how Neko appears
· Make Neko chase the mouse or run around anywhere!

It seems that the latest version was win98, though it works fine on my win7x64

4.0h

Took a quite a bit of digging, but the latest version (no longer) available from http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Haven/4173/neko.html before geocities was taken down was 4.0h and although geocities is no more, apparently someone got a mirror of it before it went down for good, so if someone's going to make it portable they might as well get the latest and greatest 4.0h from http://in.sert.co.in/neko/neko.html and just to be funny the 64-bit version from http://virtuallyfun.blogspot.com/2010/03/neko-x64.html could be thrown in too Wink (since this is a time-waster, why not be a space-waster too huh?)

Licensing

The issue is that there is possible licensing issues with it. The original files are GPL. Whereas the add-on files are not and require you to limit people selling it (which isn't permitted under the GPL). I think it may be confusion on the part of the authors, but it would be nice to clarify it. If we can fix it up and keep it open source properly, it'd be nice to add it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
