Greenshot (a free screenshot tool)

I would like to see this application as PortableApp. This freeware application is hosted on SourgeForce.net.

Greenshot is a light-weight screenshot software tool for Windows with the following key features:

- Create complete or partial screenshots quickly.
- Easily annotate, highlight or obfuscate parts of the screenshot.
- Send the screenshot to a file, the clipboard, a printer or as e-mail attachment.

Do it

I really would like to see it in PA format. It seems to be the mose feature and simlpy the best free screenshot tool. Especially if they add capturing a scrolling window.

I too miss Greenshot as portableApp

I too miss Greenshot as portableApp. It does screenshots were Lightscreen fails. From my usb-sticks I deleted Lightscreen and installed Greenshot. There exists a zipped version. You can get it here:

I heart Greenshot greatly.

I 100% agree. It also enables you to annotate easily your screenshots, adding highlighting, circles, and blurs. I like it for this better than Lightscreen or even Microsoft OneNote.

Looks like this was brought up before here.

I know the C# is an issue. Perhaps that must be solved before this is possible.

And after I had thought of it,
I said, "I will, then, be a toad."

Its time for Greenshot, no more .NET complaints

XP should be gone, and who doesn't have .NET on XP. Vista and later all have .NET as part of their installation, so there is no supported version of Windows that doesn't support Greeshot. It is GPL even for commercial users and really small. Way better than PicPick or LightScreen. Please make it available on PortableApps.
