If I receive an email I can reply to it. I can not however send a new email. I get an alert telling me to check my settings. I've quadruple checked and everything is the same as my desktop app. Any ideas? ( categories: )

Corrupt profile or settings
It's gotta be one of the two. You sure you don't have a proxy? Or are you trying to send via your home ISP's SMTP server when not at home? (which usually won't work)
