Portable Music Software?

What I would really like is a portable version of a program that does the same job thing as FL Studio

http://www.flstudio.com/

FL Studio (also called "FruityLoops") is a totally awesome music program that takes a different approach from most - instead of "writing music" you're moving bars around with the mouse - but it does the same thing and really works great. On my computer at home. If I want to take my songs anywhere I basically have to pack the whole computer as well so I can make sure that all the instruments and sounds I used in the song will be there when I arrive.

So, the program works, it sounds good, but it isn't portable at all. (I got it from a friend)

What I'd really rather do, is instead of shelling out $100 for their new program, like a good Microsoft customer, (actually, FL studio is made by "Image-Line Software" but you know what I mean) I'd like to see somebody write a "Free Software" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_software ) alternative that's as easy to use as FL Studio yet is portable and exports portable songs.

Buzz Machines

I wrote a really good comment, but pressed the wrong button and lost it!

Basically its a synthesizer, its really good but quite complex. Makes sure you do the tutorial etc. I am by no means the master, but can give you a few pointers if you have any basic problems!

Go to "what is buzz?" on the sidebar for more explanation.
