Portable Apps USB driveGJansen - July 28, 2011 - 12:55pm
Someone mentioned in a forum about OSCON that John could be recognized by the USB drive hanging from his neck. This got me thinking, would it be worth selling specific PA USB drives with the logo on it and the menu pre-installed? It could help raise money for further PA development, fans get something tangible and it makes for good promotional material. The million dollar question is: how much demand would it generate? This has been discussed quite a bit in the forums. John is already in talks with suppliers to do this.
Some people say "If you can't beat them, join them". I say "If you can't beat them, beat them", because they will be expecting you to join them, so you will have the element of surprise.

My searches for PortableApps USB Drive didn't yield any results so I figured I post and see what happens. Thanks for the remark and link. We'll see what becomes of it.

As far as I know the PA branded drives are not yet available. Look here at John's post under the "Financial Update" section for a little more info.
