yea i manageed to find it to

yea i manageed to find it in the purpose to show my friends and warn em about it and to see if theres any way to detect it running. I havent had time to try it yet but does it let the usb show the activity light? cuz the the best way to check activity and does it show the process running in task manager or does it run as a rootkit?

No program can really be too

No program can really be too silent. The blinking light and slowdown usually make it obvious that something's wrong.

(Boring.)

yea but

thats why i asked did he test it out if the programmer was really good he would make it to where the usb light wouldnt show. Thats why i asked does the usb show activaty when usbdumper is running.

But there's absolutely no

But there's absolutely no way to prevent bandwidth use. If you don't have much on your drive, it may not be noticable, but for those who have external HDs with 10s or 100s of gigabytes worth of data, there's no way to hide the fact that bandwidth is being used.

(Boring.)

of course but it also

of course but it also depends if the ext hd is fast since most pc's use usb 2.0 (not including mine:( ) and if the ext Hd is optimized to transfer small files their might not be big (but there will still be some difference i know ) a difference on the other hand if its another usb that is optimized for big files (idk why sadly mines is Sad ) then yea ofcourse the user can tell. But then what can he do if usbdumper is running as a rootkit he cant remove the usb if safely without risking a currupt usb since it is being used and rootkits are un detectable (idk if usbdumper is if it isnt then just kill the process:) )
