portable PICASA
I found a portable version of Picasa 2.2 - made by someone called MiKiCun - he also did some other (more or less) usefull portable applications.
When starting the portable version you can also chose to install it to you harddrive - if you don't want to that, there is a "Run Portable" button.
This splash-screen question pops up every time you want to run the app - so I don't know if it can really be considered as a portable app.
why
picasa is an programm to organize pictures... if you take picasa with you, your pictures stay at home... so why?
and picasa create a large thumbnailfile (its about 500 MB!!! on my pc, to store thumbnails of 4000 pictures)
Apps on my Portable Device:
Miranda, Firefox, Sunbird, Thunderbird, 7-Zip, FileZilla, GIMP, OOo, Sodoku and VLC
German User, Sorry for my bad english, I do my really really best
I realize this is ancient history ... but ...
the reason I would want Picasa portable is so that I can plug my 60GB USB drive into any computer and use Picasa to show/use/mod my pictures stored thereon.
See here.

It's because if this (I think) John removed the links. Otherwise he would have left a note.
