Changing The Splash Screen?Jakg - September 22, 2006 - 11:58am
For a dedicated copy of portable Firefox i use for just one site (i have it set up a bit like a kiosk - something wont let me view the page in Firefox, so portable Firefox seemed to be the answer), and as i was digging through the dir trying to find the "allow multiple instances" option, i found the splash screen in a jpg, now i edited this, but the "new" one didn't show up - but it didn't really matter I am making myself and a friend a fully set up version of portable Thunderbird, and i thought it might be nice to edit the splash screen, but how do i show the new one? »

Recompile
It's compiled into the launcher. So you need to compile it.
Note that you can't redistribute the launcher with TB or FF with an altered splash. Firefox and Thunderbird Portable, like their regular counterparts, can only be distributed as-is.

just found that extension on
just found that extension on my own and its great, thanks to the school blocking Hotmail (their filter isn't good enough to work with Hotmail to filter links (or embedded images) to offensive sites, so they just blocked Hotmail), although Portable Thunderbird does the job!
