clam win updating behind a proxy ?

I have a poor 56 K connexion at home so I though I might just as well update my Clamwin protable form my office.
But short after the process is launched I get a suite of messages saying trying to connect to host failed ...
Could this be due to a proxy ?
If so why should it cause aany problem for a download ?

At work, you probably have a proxy. A proxy *prevents* direct internet connection. So, of course, ClamWin Portable can't connect. You need to configure it to. Tools - Options - Proxy. If you can't figure out your work proxy, the ProxyGet Utility may help. Just run it on your work PC.
