A while back, I remember seeing a guide for taking a java application and making it portable. I went through 10 pages of the search function, trying to find it, but it's eluding me. Also, are there any guides to taking a java app, and get it to recognize and use jportable?

I'm looking at portablizing a program called Arachnophilia. I am trying to get some experience making a few programs portable, so I can give back to the site. My plan was to start simple, then start choosing software that was more of a challenge. This program should be portable already, or nearly portable.

fairly simple

I have a dev test of arachnophilia portable on my test machine, I'll post the launcher I used to pastebin this evening, feel free to use it.

Cool

Cool, thank you.

Deleted

Sorry, it looks like I deleted my package after all. However, you can read this section of the PAL manual, and refer to some of my java-based apps, such as Bookbinder Portable for a real-life example of how to do it. There may be more needed than I've done with that app, though, such as what's needed in JabRef Portable.

No worries...

Thanks for pointing me in the right direection. Peace...
