Not really sure which category this should go into but since many of the developers use Sourceforge to host their apps I thought this would be appropriate in this topic.
I am a bit confused about the email I recently received referencing this page http://sourceforge.net/blog/hosted-apps-retirement/ what does this actually mean? Do I need to now look for a new host for my apps? Does this affect PortableApps? If so how? Are they just changing the format or are they no longer hosting? Anyone care to shed some light on this?
They were hosting apps like WordPress and the like for projects to be able to use to host their sites on SourceForge's servers. They're dropping that service. It has no effect on PortableApps.com at all.

JOhn, I read, reread and read again and just did not understand, wish you worked for them lol as your answer actually made sense

their response made perfect sense for me but I probably would of worded it differently

I read the email I received it made me think I had to find anew host as they were no longer going to host the downloads, especially since I do not use any of the aforementioned extras
