No Longer Supported

That option is no longer supported. If you move your profiles to the MirandaPortable\Data\profiles directory, they'll all be used from there.

Specific Location

You can name your profiles anything you like, but they must be kept in MirandaPortable\Data\profiles.

I prefer to keep all profiles

I prefer to keep all profiles separately from the programs.
Like this
path to profile for miranda:
\profiles\miranda
path to program miranda:
\programs\miranda

Never Officially Supported

This has never been officially supported as it requires using ..\ within the AppNamePortable.ini which isn't actually looked for/handled within the launchers themselved. Official support for this was never built though it happens to work with a handful of apps. Officially, we only support it with the Mozilla-based apps that have a second profile launcher available. You can easily move your existing profile(s) to the Data\profiles folder in Miranda Portable and they will continue to work.

Separating your profiles like this doesn't gain you anything in terms of security. The one thing it could be said to gain is easier backups, but that is negated by the fact that the platform can automatically backup all your Data folders with just a couple clicks (and you can configured any backup tool to do it fairly easily). Was there some other reason you were separating them in this fashion?
