Call me crazy, but my update
Call me crazy, but my update won't install. Keeps failing and then prompting me to install the full update instead. I'm going to try all over again and document the errors better. I'll update in a bit.

Oops! Swore I updated
Oops! Swore I updated this... unmounted my drive, rebooted, remounted and tried again and the smaller update worked. No reinstall necessary. *shrug* Just a fluke maybe?

Only prob I had with the update was at home and at work the first day it was out it would hang on trying to download the update. I finally got it through yesterday and worked fine for me first try.

Firefox doesn't restart After 1.5.0.8 Update
Portable firefox updated to 1.5.0.8 but does not restart after this. I get only the splash screen and nothing else.
Any clue how to fully install the upgrade or go back to 1.5.0.7 without loosing my personal info?

Install 1.5.0.7
Install 1.5.0.7 over the top of your current install. All data will be preserved.
Or try starting it in safe mode as-is to find out what's up. Just enter FirefoxPortable.exe -safe-mode on the command line.

I re-installed 1.5.0.7 and copied the profile directory to the new install path (Still had the old directory structure "PortableFirefox" instead of "Firefoxportable").
Any other directories than the "profile" one to copy?

Perhaps
If you have any plugins in FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\plugins or search plugins in FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\searchplugins. That should be it, though.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the ONLY one not getting 1.5.0.8 to update. I keep getting the pop-up asking to update and then I think --I'm sure that I just did that yesterday.
I'm too young for my memory to be failing yet. Let us know if anyone figures it out!
