Developers Wanted

Ok guys I need some developers and I know this may sound crazy but I need people that can work for free too. I started building my own Linux distribution that is based of Ubuntu Linux. Actually it is Ubuntu but modified basically adding multimedia codecs and stuff like that. But I need mostly some gfx designers, some shell scripters that can make a couple of custom scripts and possibly some people that can mirror my distribution. Email me please if your interested and my email is thibeaz [at] gmail dot com and if you want to check out the site my url is, sigh yes a subdomain (but provided by Ryan McCue Biggrin thanks man... I really mean it) Eventually I am going to get a domain for it but the issue for me is money because a college education really burns a hole in ones pocket Sad but you got the information and I hope to hear from you guys out there

2 things
  1. The link is missing
  2. Also, we are going to have to move the .ISO to SourceForge or maybe Google Code. My bandwidth has been exceeded Sad
WRT the mirroring, if you can get it hosted, I'll get a load balancing script set up.

A couple of things....

A couple of things:

  1. Don't bother making your own Linux distribution as it's an enormous amount of work for one person just starting out. You won't get anywhere and will end up just wasting your time.
  2. If you need to play multimedia files, just use VLC Player.

Dude

Nothing is imposible and don't you forget that. I successfully made one and almost done the second release. and all it is basically just a hack of ubuntu with added multimedia support but some of my own stuff comes in like and as for VLC. That still requires the multimedia codecs such as gstreamer-10-ugly and gstreamer-10-bad but there is more to that I am also adding Mythtv and a front end that makes it function like true multimedia Center

If you're looking for a

If you're looking for a mirror for your distro you can drop me an email at babich at babich dot us. It sounds like it's eating a lot of bandwidth, and I happen to have A LOT of bandwidth sitting around collecting digital dust.
