Opera apps only available from website; not from portable apps platform

I have downloaded and installed the Opera apps by going to the website/ My neighbor, however. said they weren't available. It turns out that he was trying to get Opera from the platform option to get more apps, and Opera is not listed there.

It is definitely available

It is definitely available from the App Directory, I just installed it from there.

The only reason it won't show up under "Get More Apps" is if it is already installed.

(If you are talking specifically about Opera 21 Portable, then it is not available via the App Directory because it is still only a test release.)

Thanks for response, Winterblood.....

I'm sure he said he couldn't find anything related to Opera when he used the "Get More Apps" path. But I'll double check tomorrow. He doesn't have any version of Opera on his USB drive right now, but he does have one on his desktop.

I was kidding him about what might be in the soda he was drinking, but now I think I should check my own beverage. Wink

Yesterday I'm sure I saw both Opera and Opera Mail on the website, but today I see only Opera Mail.

The Opera on my USB drive is version 12.17; the one on my desktop is 12.16.
