I don't like the menu at the top, sorry

Having it at the bottom is bad UI design. As you type and get your matches down to 1 or 2, the options are very far away from where you're topping. And it's not obvious how you get there from your current position on the screen. Having it at the top and the top option just below makes it easy to see all of it and to easily hit TAB or down arrow to get to the results. That's the reason that search is arranged like this in everything except the old Windows start menu. Whether it's keyboard-based application launchers like Launcher, search within Windows Explorer, search on Mac/Linux/Android/iOS, even search in Windows 8/8.1 follows the proper search box on top with filtered results starting just below. The only reason search is at the bottom in Windows 7 is because the pinnacle of modern design Vista put it there just to squash it into the menu.

I could make an advanced option later and put it where the drive space slider is, eliminating the drive name and slider. If enough people wanted it. It would still have the same tab order (TAB or down arrow takes you to the top), etc. And the top of the menu would then just be blank. Or we can just wait for custom themes that allow repositioning.
