Windows ME Compatibility

I just got a computer running Windows Millenium Edition and I have no install disks for a more recent operating system and it doesn't have an internet question. Before I set it up, I would like to know if I can run programs (specifically portable apps) that are compatible with Windows XP on it. If not normally, then can I use a crossover program like how you can run Windows programs on a Mac?

Would depend on the

Would depend on the application.
Many should work fine, word processing etc but you may have issues with system tools.

If at first you do not succeed, use more sticky tape.

Whoops!

Looks like I forgot to delete this post. The sticker on the tower said "Windows Me" but when I booted it up, it was XP. Well, thank you for the response!

Probably Nothing Today

On the off chance someone else stumbles on this topic later, nothing in our app directory today will work on Windows Me. It's so old that Firefox 2 was the last thing that worked on it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
