Move or Copy to USB External Drives

Hey just wondering, if I want to either Move/Cut or Copy files to a USB Plug and Play External Drive for keeping them in case of OS or something going bad. What would be good to use, Just WindowsXP Right click and Cut/Copy or is there a good program, File Manager or back up or something that helps with this? Need something low on Ram/resource usage. I have a ton of stuff on my hard drive I will be moving and maybe creating folders for and renaming a little stuff, I'm Just used to using Right click and such.

Personally, I used either

Personally, I used either FastCopy or Teracopy (both free versions) back in my Windows XP days instead of the default file copier.
(and still use them both in my Windows 7 days :p)

both can integrate themselves into the right click menu and can be set as the default copy option.

FastCopy http://ipmsg.org/tools/fastcopy.html.en
(also available in PortableApps https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/fastcopy-portable)

TeraCopy https://codesector.com/teracopy

I hope that helps Smile

ps: for outright speed, I found that FastCopy lives up to it's name
