Thumb drive problems

So i installed the portable apps platform, it works great. One problem i have though is the fact that it renamed y thumb drive and changed the logo. The name is required for work so i can collaborate effectively and it would be a pain to change this. Anyone know how to change the name back to work1?

autorun.inf

It's renamed via the autorun.inf file in the root of your drive. You can change the name using the PA.c Platform (click the name in the lower left of the menu) or by editing the file directly. You can reset it fully by deleting the autorun.inf file itself. Upgrades of the platform will not restore it or alter it. Your actual volume name of the drive has not been altered, so if it needs to be something for compatibility with any other software, it should still work.

Note that if you change or delete the autorun.inf outside the platform yourself, the platform will warn you by default of the change because that can be an indicator of a virus trying to infect the drive. Since you made the change yourself, you can dismiss the warning.

Is there anyway to get it to stop warning me?

RE: Is there anyway to get it to

If I recall, I think the platform makes a backup of autorun.inf in the data folder.

I think the filepath was:

PortableApps\PortableApps.com\Data\autorun.inf.backup

Deleting that file should stop it, I think (I'm sure John will confirm whether or not this is correct)

Delete or Change Settings

You can delete the autorun.inf and it'll only warn you once after that

You can also disable the autorun protection:
