Portable but not PA

CloneVDI
FreeCommander (the 2009 version that actually works)
Piriform CCleaner
Piriform Defraggler
FreeFileSync (it works for me)
QSlite

I know JTH will balk at FFS but it does work.

This list is intended for people to report progs they know to be portable rather than an exercise room for people with previous attitudes.

If you know of something that is freely available and portable tag on. I'll check the basics but if an App is something I'm not familiar with we'll need cross references

FFS Fails For Me

FFS, their release, fails to launch from the PA.c Platform about 1/2 the time for me. In all OSes. It's been an issue for over a year now, but the publisher refuses to even look into the problem despite my providing them with complete details and even custom code to test it with. https://sourceforge.net/p/freefilesync/discussion/open-discussion/thread...

ffs answer unknown

JTH, I follow both PA and FFS and the argument is long.

All PA people need to know is how to use FFS outside of the PA platform while having it available within it. You don't react well to this and I don't blame you. From the FFS POV PA implementation is unimportantant since it works in so many other implementations.

Create a shortut outside PA, use that and be done with it.

I have suggested other sync apps but I know the one that fits in with PA that I'm sticking with

Doesn't work for many

While it works for you, it's important to note that it won't work from the PA.c Platform for most end users. Or from Q-Dir, FreeCommander, or any other portable file manager they use as part of their portable workflow. So, for many of the end users interested, they will need to launch a Windows Explorer window and run FFS directly. That's the only way FFS works for most users. It's worth noting FFS' broken-ness when recommending people use it as it will likely factor into a user's decision whether or not to use it.

More apps

TeamDrive Portable - pkg'd in PAc format by dev & platform automatically puts it in Utilities category of menu (how does it know to do that, John?)
Piriform Recuva, Portable Build (IMHO the best way to run Recuva!)
