Just wondered will UPX compressed files execute or response slower than the original file? My portable is a hard disk, not a flash drive, so I have plenty space to waste. »

Small Difference
I think, when tested, it's on the order of a 1% difference in speed, which isn't noticable. (Anything less than 5% isn't noticable)
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Hi 888inc,
as John said there seems to be allmost no difference in speed when your portable HD is connected via USB2 or Firewire to a PC but when you connect your HD to a PC with only USB1 then there will be hugh differences in speed in favor to upxed apps/files.
