ClamWin: 0.88.7 - Can't update definitions

Ok, absolute Noob, but I just installed 0.88.7 to my usb drive, ran it and got this: (tried 6 times over 30 minutes until I saw the line about the mirrors)

ClamAV update process started at Tue Feb 06 12:15:56 2007
ERROR: Verification: Broken or not a CVD file
Trying again in 5 secs...

A search for *fresh* turned up only the exe, no conf.

Any ideas? Thanks. And thanks for the applications!

Try again / Proxy

Either there's a network hiccup... or there's a proxy in your current location preventing you from downloading.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks!

The "This" link did it. When I tried to d/l those files, the corporate firewall stopped me, but I was able to use FoxyProxy/TOR to get around it. I had tried that with the in-program update, but I guess it doesn't read Firefox's proxy settings.

I saved the link to the daily file, I guess I just need to update that one from now on, right?

Thanks again. I can't believe I got the answers that quick.

Just put them in the right place

The folder in the post is the folder for installed versions.
Yours is something like:

 A:\PortableApps\ClamWinPortable\Data\db\

Well
It doesnt hurt trying the built-in auto-update every once in a while, does it?
Wink
