really dumb question

sorry for language hangup ...

I think of a portable ap as something that doesn't install to Program Files, doesn't write to any hives etc.

I take it Portable Aps Platform is not a portable ap in that sense?

Are there any portable aps to help Portable Aps Platform build a bootable USB with a simplified OS to use as a PE/RE environment? with NTFS file system? which will run Windows-based portable aps?

thanks

I'm not too big on letting anyone automatically do anything on my system. Are there any automatic features inside the Portable Aps Platform that I cannot turn off, even if you or someone else doesn't want me to?

The Captcha's are funny -- Oh, darn, all those pictures of delicious food! now I'm really hungry!!

Portable

The platform is portable in that sense. It's a portable app (a few of them: menu, updater/app store, backup/restore) that help you use other portable apps.

The platform doesn't do anything automatically except check for updates and notify you they are available. It doesn't download or install them automatically. And you can even turn that off.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
