Fast way to shut down

Hello,

I have Windows 10 and shutting down the PC via the keyboard requires more key presses than in Windows 7:

  • Windows 7: {Windows} {Right Arrow} {Right Arrow} {Enter}
  • Windows 10: {Windows} {Up Arrow} {Up Arrow} {Enter} {Down Arrow} {Down Arrow} {Enter}

The Portable Apps Platform can be opened using {Ctrl}+{Alt}+{Space}
Here I have at the right bottom the "Power Off" button.
Is there a fast way to access this button using the keyboard?

Greetings

depends on your system :)

depends on your system Smile

on mine I just close the lid

P.S. I *believe* in laptops for this and other reasons (built in UPS, etc)

P.P.S. your keystrokes bear no relation to mine

Hello,

Hello,

I have a gaming PC, not a laptop (beside this I also have a laptop).
So here is no lid that I can close.

power button equivalent

power button equivalent

modern systems allow you to assign almost any behaviour to any physical detail on your system. why are you so f*cking lazy that you need PA to do your homework *and* wipe your bottom after you have been to the toilet?

P.S. Win doesn't shut apps down properly is the real reason as has been told here many times, sigh, why ask here when the problem is with Win?

Why the need for such a rude post?

Why do you feel the need to be so rude and dismissive in many of your posts? This is just one example of many such examples. Users come here for help, not insults. Please be reminded of the following Forum-wide Guideline:

Play Nice - This community is only as strong as it's members[sic]. As such, everyone is expected to conduct themselves accordingly. Name-calling, insults, etc have no place here. This shouldn't even have to be mentioned, but there have been some bad apples in the past.

If this user does not know

If this user does not know how to behave, then maybe he should get excluded from this forum?

Hello,

Hello,

no matter if the problem is in Windows or not, I just asked if there is a hot key for this button in the Portable Apps Platform.

Polite Greetings

Windows Hotkeys

There isn't a built keyboard shortcut in Windows 10 to do what you ask, but you can easily create one. Just search the Web for "Windows Keyboard Shortcuts" and you'll find plenty of step-by-step guides. It is only 3 clicks in Windows 10 to shutdown, so you can't save much time, if any, time!
