Firefox portable & jportable

Hi

I have the latest firefox and jportable (32 & 64bit) "installed". I read that firefox should automatically pick up java but it never does.I dont see anything in plugins and if i go to a java testing website it says java isn't detected.

Anyone have any ideas?

32 bit

You'll need to force Firefox portable to run in 32 bit more for now to use jportable with it. It's explained on the Firefox portable support page. I'll likely add 64 bit support in the next release. Keep in mind that it's deprecated and Firefox drops support for java entirely sometime next year just like Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.

Firefox portable 43.x.x

I have this problem, too. Neither the site of Java (Oracle) nor the site of Firefox will issue any suggestion, besides the standard procedures.
I solved this problem as follows: I used the .paf of Firefoxportable version 39.x and installed it. Then I made an internal update of Firefox: 3-bar Menu -> ? (Last row) -> about Firefox. There is an update Button if available . This internal update works (force to 32-Bit Version?? - I don'r know.) . But afterwards You have to ignore the update of FF on Portable-Apps Main screen on start.

The proper answer is already just above your comment.

jportable exeption list

To add a site to the trusted site list go to the bin directory in portableapps\common files\java\bin and start the java console with javacpl.exe. In the security tab you can add the site you want.
