Stopping certain apps from auto-updating ...

I have an app that I have extensively "tweaked" to behave as I want, but every time the package is updated I lose most of my changes, which is very irritating to say the least.

I want all of the remaining packages to continue updating - just stop this one.

I'm happy to sort out the package in question manually as I can use a merge tool to sort out the differences.

Is there a way to do this?? All suggestions welcome.

Dave

Stop the auto update

manually choose apps> update then you can un-select the one you do not want updated.....Or modify the ini to move the changes back and forth to data folder and then you get best of both worlds

Quick and dirty hack: Just

Quick and dirty hack: Just rename the App folder.
The updater can only update apps in their original named folders.

Customizing?

What app are you customizing? Any customization like settings, plugins, etc should be preserved in all our apps on upgrades.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
