Express Update Install Request

I haven't updated in awhile, and I've spent the last 3 days trying to get everything updated. Its been a big pain.

Problem is I go to sleep and wake up to find a T&C window sitting on my desktop which has stopped progress at like 10%..this has happened 2 nights in a row, its ridiculous.

I would like the option to NOT update apps that require accepting of special walls of text.

Or Portable Apps should group all the updates for apps requiring Accepting Licensing Aggreements in the beginning of the update.

Or Portable Apps should create their own generic EULA that covers all apps that you accept on the beginning of updating.

Or create a better download and install agent that remembers and stores your downloaded update files, and resumes exactly where you left off next time you plug your usb in

Or give us an "Express Install" option which suppresses all pop up windows or skips apps with them entirely

This shouldn't take a week.

And meanwhile its killing my Micro SD card to re download 200 apps every single night.

EULAs

An upcoming feature of the PortableApps.com Platform is to combine all the EULAs into a single readable/agreeable one you can do as you start the update process. The EULAs are already stored in an inventory on our website for processing by the platform. The code to determine which ones you need in the updater, and then download and combine them is not yet complete. Our system stores which version of each EULA for apps you've already agreed to and will not show it to you again. So, the only time you see an EULA is when you have not yet agreed to it when it is a brand new install or the EULA terms changed for an app since the last version you agreed to. As such, the updater doesn't yet know which apps will show you an agreement so it can't even indicate to you which ones will. It knows which apps overall have EULAs within them but not which ones you've agreed to yet on your install.

This feature is one of the higher priority ones due to the fact that our app list has grown quite a bit and should be completed in the near future. About 1/2 the code for it is complete.

We can't not show the EULAs or show a generic one or only show it after it is installed. That would be illegal. As the only fully legal portable software platform, we simply can't go that route.

Storing your download for later use will also be an upcoming option in conjunction with manually defining a download directory.

Side note: You're not downloading the apps to your microSD unless you have manually defined it to be used as your TEMP directory in Windows itself or instructed the platform to use it by manually creating a folder called TempForPortableApps within the same directory as Start.exe. Apps are downloaded to your local machine's TEMP directory by default.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
