Thoughts on these USB drives?

I need to carry some sensitive data around with me, as well as being able to use portable apps. I cant predict what computer/OS I will be using the drive on so needs to be something that uses encryption/password protection and will work on any computer. Ive found the following:

Sandisk extreme cz80: https://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-Extreme-Flash-Drive-s-SDCZ80-016G-GAM46/dp...

Kingston data traveler vault: https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-4GB-Traveler-Encrypted-DTVP30/dp/B00G31O...

Kingston data traveler 4000 g2: https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Digital-4GB-Encrypt-DT4000G2/dp/B00T5M2Z...

A few questions about these drives:

1. Can portable apps be installed and used on them?
2. Are they fast enough to run portable apps like firefox and thunderbird?
3. Will they work without admin access? (Ive heard some encryption methods will only work if you have admin rights on the computer)
4. Will they work across multiple operating systems without additional software install (windows, osx, debian based linux)?

I cant predict the OS I will be using the drive on, and most certainly wont have admin rights on any of them, so just need to make sure these will work in my use case

Sandisk

Sandisk's security is via an app named SecureAccess which saves secured files in an encrypted vault. There are versions of SecureAccess for Windows and for MACs and TTBOMK they can share the same vault. And on Windows it doesn't require Admin rights to run.

For files like PortablerApps's apps they can be stored on the USB drive outside/alongside the SecureAccess vault.

PortableApps apps only run on Windows systems, Vista on up.

Browser speeds are more a function of the Internet connection than drive speed.

So If I wanted to run

So If I wanted to run portable firefox, I cant "install" it inside the encrypted portion of the drive and run it directly from there?

Is this only true for the SanDisk SecureAccess stick? Can you install portable firefox directly into the encrypted Kingston drives?

1. No.

1. No.

2. No idea.

Doesn't PortableApps have a secure USB drive you can use?
