Thunderbird U3 issues as default mail app

jasoneu - March 22, 2007 - 11:20am

I'm running Windows XP and ThunderBird for U3 (version 1.5.0.10 (20070221). I recently decided to try using my TB U3 as my default mail client, but ran into a few problems. Whenever I try to click on a mailto HTML tag in my web browser, Thunderbird will open up, but will prompt me to create a new account (I have three as it is!) How do I stop this from happening and be able to use a default email client the way it was meant to be used?

Don't use that

Do NOT set it as the default mail app. It's not made to work that way. It'll even reset your system back to the other way when you close it if you set it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Good enough for me

Good enough for me...thanks!
