Error When Loading

Ediseye - March 30, 2007 - 6:58pm

Hello.

When I install the latest version 2.2.13 and run it for the first time, I get 3 total errors which can be by passed by pressing the continue button many times.

Picture of one of the errors: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/Ediseye/PortableApps/GIMPPortable...

So I kept pushing continue and I got to GIMP. All was well so I decided to close it and reopen. Every time I open GIMP, I kept getting one error message and you can still bypass it by excessively pushing continue.

Picture of the error that happens on every load: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/Ediseye/PortableApps/GIMPPortable...

I have a 2.0GB Memorex TravelDrive and it has 1.8GB free space on it.

System Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz with Hyper-Threading Technology
ATI Radeon 9200 128MB (Driver 6.11)
1.5GB PC3200 RAM
Western Digital 80GB 7,200 RPM
Windows XP Home Edition SP2

Thank you.

Known Issue

Not specific to the portable version... or even to GIMP itself. It's a GTK issue due to you having a card reader attached with no cards in it. There is no workaround, nor has there been for well over a year.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Alright

Hello.

Alrighty. Sad to see it be an issue with the GTK so there probably won't be a fix and if there is, it'll be a while.

Anyway, great work on GIMP so far.

Thank you.
