About how long is it going to take you guys to update VLC to 0.8.6b?
Sorry about posting this, just wondering what the general timeframe for an update will be.

Since I keep an installed copy of VLC on my WinXP box, I simply make a backup copy of my Portable copy; copy the installed version into the usb drive and test it. I can always recover by restoring the backup, something I haven't needed to do. I figure if I want to stay current with what amount to bug fixes, it is up to me to take some of the responsibility.

Please note I do not do this with any software I consider 'production critical'.
