Python?

How about a Python compiler?
I know it uses an installer currently, but could it possibly run from USB?

System Dependancies

The one thing I don't like about Python is how bulk it is. This is probably the main reason why I always usually revert to using Lua.

portable Lua?

Is there a portable win32 interpreter? The only one I've managed to find is the one made by Andreas Rozek, but it doesn't seem to be portable. And it's based on an older release (v4.0).

I'm hoping a portable Lua interpreter would allow me to develop Lua script wrappers for my non-portable apps.
