i bought a simple kingston usb memory stick 1GB.without u3 smart.can i install the launchpad at my new kingston????

U3 is implemented at the hardware level.
You need to have a U3 drive.

The reason you can reinstall U3 on some drives after uninstalling it is because it is still physically a U3 drive but the uninstall process "masks" the U3 "functionality".

To the best of my knowledge only Sandisk implements an uninstall that is reversible.
