I'm quite sure there it is not open-source, as I don't see any reason why Adobe would release their ever dependent flash player under and open-source license. Then again, it could be, but I don't think so.

But, to help you out, if you read straight from the Firefox Portable page, you will see a direct link to Installing Plugins (Flash, Shockwave, etc.
