Blender 2.44 has already been made portable, it can be found here. It's not directly from this site, but it was made portable using the same basic launcher code and it is in the same format/directory layout as all of the applications from here, what we call the PortableApps.comFormat.
Next time, just Search this site using the feature on the top right hand corner of this site, and you'll probally find what you're looking for.

Blender 2.45 is to be released shortly from what I have seen over at Blendernation.

Thanks Have Some Patience. Just struggling with time issues due to real life at the moment. The site requires a few updates and some maintenance, then I can sort out a few apps and look at revisiting all my current apps with updated launchers and installers etc.
