I actually part-way made one but then realized... isn't it kinda silly without a step pad... which isn't really portable?

Lol that's very true, but I know some of the guys I go to school with play the game just using their keyboard instead of the step pad. I agree it's kinda silly, but these guys play for hours on end between their classes, just pushing the arrow keys.

Picture this:
you want to bring your 2 step pads over to your friend's house and use his/her computer to play the game cause it's a big hassle carrying your whole PC setup over. But, since they don't have a step-pad (they're going to use yours) AND their hard disk is like totally full, you don't want to perminantly install StepMania on their computer. The answer? StepMania as a portable app!!

And reason #3: you might not be a player but might be a music artist who uses the program to DEVELOP a dance pattern for a song
And I'd play with arrow keys. If you've already started it John, I think you should keep at it. If you couldn't use the arrow keys, then their would be many people saying I can't play this without a step-pad, but if it is possible to use the arrow keys, it seems like a very logical choice.

It's kinda scary when my desktop is messier than my room...
I went and made portable... Didn't regshot though (not sure how). Seems to leave appdata clean. Someone check this out for me? And btw, most of these songs are too difficult to do WITH an actual dance pad. I just use QWOP. And yes it does use traditional paf.com platform. Click here for download link, tell me if doesn't work.
