Hi Guys, I have to create a Crystal Version of the PA SplashScreen and the PA.com Logo. The Pack included: -PortableApps Logo ICO (without dropshadow) and PNG File (with and without shadow) *UPDATE*: -PortableApps Logo -NeoRame Edition- Preview PA Logo -NeoRame Edition- PA.com Wallpaper 1024x768 I also created a "PA.com" WindowsXP style I hope you like it. -------------------------------------------------------------- ( categories: )

Like always! You maintain a high level of quality in all your work! But, I don't think that you can use the logo without John's permission. You may want to change that. It looks great though!

The splash is really nice, but perhaps you can change the "Portable" font to something most people own, or can download, so they can change the splash screen, but still have a generic font, cause it looks nice, I would use it.

Meta Bold LF Roman, it's propitiatory, from what I've found it's about 300 dollars. As well, it's commercial, so can't be distributed. That's why I suggested a Generic Font.
What I've done...sadly...is typed my text in here, and then took a screenshot, and the pixel blended, or cropped it.
Sad eh. If you have a font making program, you can get all of the letters from their, then create it yourself.

You will have to hack your
You will have to hack your uxtheme.dll file to accept themes not digitally signed by microsoft. I haven't yet figured out a way to make a theme appear to be signed but it really isnt.

if you just make it a
if you just make it a standard theme, there is a tool to automatically hack the uxtheme.dll. I'd prefer not to have to hack it at all, but I find this cleaner than having to install windowsblinds

I like it a lot, but as per usual with anything that becomes well known on the net, there are many copyright issues... Shame really. I think John could do with a graphical designer like you.

And that was kinda my point. Distribution of workload could really help John push out the apps, but as we all know, as soon as you're relying on someone else to do their part in the project, you lose control of when the application is finished.

P.S. Yes, my computer is very capable of running those resolutions quite well -- and at the same time. My video card has 256 MB of VRAM and the following outputs: DVI, RGB, s-video, and composite. Also, my card supports dual RGB, so if I had a splitter, I could use up to 5 screens. I'm currently using only two of the outputs (DVI to a 19" 16:10 LCD, composite to a 62" 16:9 HDTV), but I plan to get another LCD monitor in here soon. And if you're wondering why I'm using a composite video cable to connect an HDTV, the answer is simple: my computer is completely opposite the TV in the room, and the only 25' video cable I could find in the house was composite. However, I plan to switch to s-video as soon as I can find a 25' cable.
