OK heres my idea.
What about a NSIS Dev Team?
And maybe we could get special titles on the forums
Then we could work together on projects

( categories: )

sure

There could be other groups too, like WINE testers to see if all works well in WINE.

I have just started looking into NSIS...

But I would Like to join to help out anyway I can. I do understand the source that has been included with PFF, and Portalog. If you need help with anything let me know I will see what I can do.

As I learn the language, I will try out my own progs to see what you all think.

Hmm

How about a test?
We check if they know how to do something, then they send the code to our 'review board'
If it's good, they are in.
If not they try another challenge then if that is not good they aren't in.
What do you think?

Can't do tags yet

I can't do specific tags on here, yet. I'm working on levels (based on # of posts or length of membership) now as well as including those details with each post. As for a tag, drop it in your sig for now. And feel free to discuss any projects on the Development forum, that's what it's there for. Smiling

Forums

Oh I am moving all my apps support to my forums so it doesnt clog up these forums

purpose

Will the dev team be making portable apps as well as other things? I can make portable apps using modified versions of John's launcher. If that is the case, then I would like to join. I am working on a PortableApps-ized version of SciTE and can submit that to you upon completion.

Anything to do with NSIS

Join up at my forums and you'll get the title.
That's where we develop, here's where we release.

You can feel free to use these forums for NSIS Development

That is what they're here for. Especially for apps based on my code... so we can keep all the developers centralized. That's kinda the whole point of this site.

Ok

But...
We will use it for private forums, like the review board
And BTW they aren't all based on your code.

I'm in

I'm joining. I've gotten pretty good at modifying John's launchers to make new apps.

Already available

John, membership time and number of posts are already available elsewhere.

Membership time is under history in profiles, in your case: 11 weeks, 6 days. Your tracker has 21 pages, which is ~525 posts (of various node types - i.e. forums, website pages, etc).

I'd say that's all the info I need.

I mean in-forum

I'm adding it in in-forum so it's right there where people post (a la other forums like phpBB)
